Perched atop the cliffs at the award-winning Cove Tasmania Resort, Basalt is the culmination of a vision years in the making. This intimate fine dining restaurant offers an unparalleled experience, where guests can savor exquisite cuisine while overlooking some of Tasmania's most breathtaking landscapes and coastlines.
Basalt is more than just a restaurant; it's a tribute to history and family. The restaurant sits on historic farmland that has been part of the Robinson family legacy for over 170 years. July 2024 marked the beginning of a monumental project that will forever change the landscape of Cove Tasmania. Alongside Basalt, this ambitious undertaking includes The Atrium Cafe, a state-of-the-art corporate center, and five luxurious Lillico Soak Suites. It is a lasting legacy for Bruce and Kim Robinson, a testament to their commitment to excellence and their passion for sharing the beauty of Tasmania with the world.
